Cherish Each Moment

the days are long but the years are short

Cherish each moment! This week I am preparing to celebrate my oldest child’s 18th birthday. It seems like only yesterday that I brought her home from the hospital. As I look back on the last eighteen years. I am reminded of the quote, “The years are long but the days are short.” I would have never believed this quote to be true when I was in the throes of chasing toddlers around the house. But yet, before I knew it, I was carpooling kids to ballet and piano lessons. And in a blink of an eye, I was watching my daughter pull out of our driveway and drive herself to school. And today, my daughter is deciding which college she wants to attend. So my dear friends, take time to cherish each and every moment. Parenting is a difficult job and the days can seem to go on forever, but remember the pitter patter of little feet on the floor will pass quickly. Take time to enjoy!
