Al Capone’s Florida estate is for sale. A piece of mob history could be yours for only $9.95 million. Brooklyn born Capone moved to this Florida residence in 1928 after the mob boss had long ruled the streets of Chicago.
Capone bought the house from the Anheuser-Busch family for $40,000 in cash. Capone renovated the home and it soon becaame a hangout for mobsters. It is supposedly the residence where Capone masterminded the St. Valentine’s Day massacre. Capone died in one of the guest rooms in the front of the house. He stayed there so he could see out the window and see all activity coming and going.
I think the home looks lovely, although I don’t believe I would want to live here even if I could afford it. A bit too morbid for me. Your thoughts?
