I’ve spent the past week looking backwards at 2013’s highlights on this post and forwards to my goals for 2014 on this post and now I’m going to finish this week by sharing what you, readers, liked the most of every post on Hadley Court in 2013. Thank you for your support. I am so grateful for your attention and look forward to finding out what you enjoyed seeing and found most interesting on Hadley Court at the end of this year, 2014.
Starting with your 5th place favorite, is this post, here , on the lovely Amy Howard who makes paints that can transform any piece you own or find into something beautiful. I had the great joy to spend more time getting to really know Amy at the Dallas Market in July of 2013 when I attended the market as a host for their SNEAK PEEK blogger event and I can completely recommend her paint products if you need to add an antique finish, a gilded finish, a waxed finish or a lacquer finish to anything you or a client own.
My fellow interior design friend, Kim Hendricks Hoegger, who just opened her beautiful new store, KIM HOEGGER HOME, on N. Henderson in Dallas, carries AMY HOWARD AT HOME paint products if you live in Dallas or the surrounding areas and would like to purchase Amy’s paints.
In 4th place, was my recap post on the Design Bloggers Conference in Los Angeles in February of 2014, here. I was overjoyed to win their Hall of Fame award for the Best New Interior Design Blog of 2013 and to meet so many wonderful women and men from all over the United States. I will be flying out from Midland, Texas, where I live and practice interior design at Chancellor Interiors, to attend this year’s Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta during the first week of March. If you’d like to see their site and get more information about attending, click here. If you do decide to attend, please come up and say Hi if you see me there. I’d love to meet YOU.
In 3rd place as the post you liked best in 2013 was this one, here, another one I wrote on Amy Howard at Home. It seems I’m not the only one who loves Amy and her new paint products. The picture below is of the beautiful colors of spray lacquers she offers. You don’t even need to sand, just spray your vintage furniture or decorative accessories and make them new again, just in time for spring’s flower garden colors, sun and sea.
I wish I was going to get to see Amy again this month at the upcoming Dallas Market Total Home and Gift Show, Jan. 15th-21st.
Although they were kind enough to invite me back to be a host of another SNEAK PEEK blogger event on Friday, January 17th { register for the Sneak Peek blogger event by clicking here } – a family commitment has me away so I won’t be able to do it, but I know my Dallas friends, here , who will be hosting: Elle Cole, Kelley Copeland, Denise McGaha and Hilary Walker, will enjoy meeting everyone. I hope, if you’ll be there, you’ll enjoy meeting them and seeing Amy’s products there, too, within the CODARUS showroom in space WTC 546.
Thank you, Meredith Hite, for inviting me to do this in 2013 and again this January. I wish you and your team a very successful market.
In 2nd place as the post you liked best in 2013, was the one, here , where House Beautiful magazine selected my post on * Grey: The Perfect Playmate *, here , as one of their Top 5 favorite blog posts of the week. It was such a thrill to see this. THANK YOU, House Beautiful!
And in 1st place as the post you liked best in 2013, was my post on Dramatic Focal Points and my fascination with chinoiserie, here. The one pictured is owned by Ann Getty. Do you love chinoiserie, too? If you do, you may enjoy this Pinterest board, here , and if you need more gracious design and entertaining ideas for your own homes this year, I invite you to follow my own Pinterest boards by clicking here.
Thank you again, readers, for your support, your comments, your feedback and your subscriptions to my blog, HADLEY COURT, in 2013. Please know how much I appreciate them. Please know, too, I’m listening for your feedback and comments this weekend as I begin planning for some exciting changes coming to Hadley Court this year. I can’t do it without you.
May your year ahead be blessed for both you, your family and your own businesses.
