I had the opportunity to sit down with Amy Howard this past weekend and talk about her latest endeavors. You may remember a previous post about Amy Howard from last year. Needless to say, I am totally infatuated with her furnishings.
Amy has launched a new product line of decorative paints called Rescue Restore Redecorate! Amy has built her incredible business on finding spectacular vintage pieces, refurbishing them to an artful state and then reproducing those items for sale. Now mere mortals like you and me can use the same paints and techniques Amy uses to create her masterpieces.
Amy did a quick presentation on using her paints to create and old world patina on a piece of decorative mill work. She makes the process look so easy, I am ready to tackle a project myself. The One Stop Paint is amazing. There is no stripping or sanding necessary, simply swipe the chalky color on your piece. And voila! your piece is transformed. If you are craving that authentic antique look then you need the Toscana Powder Paint. Simply mix the powder with water and you get rich casein milk paint, which gives a rich, historical patina to any surface.
And finally, Amy Howard has mastered lacquer in a can. Now you can bring that thick, rich, hard-high gloss finish of actual lacquer on any piece of furniture. This spray on wonder is an exclusive to Amy Howard and is not available anywhere else.
You can find all of these amazing products at Amy Howard at Home.
