There’s a reason so many of us love Christmas Time – Christmas is merry and bright, but above all it’s magical and no matter how old we get, the magic seems to come back year after year. There are so many wonderful aspects of the season – the wonderful cards and hearing from loved ones, the Christmas carols, the scent of pine, the aromas of fresh baked goods that permeate our kitchens and homes. I love wrapping presents, hanging garland, decorating the tree. In fact, I love the trees and the decorations the most. I think each tree tells a story, like a dynamic photograph or beautiful painting, like a book or a movie. A tree is so much more than a tree, I believe.
I love to see everyone’s style – so different and unique. What’s your Christmas style? Do you go all out and decorate every room of your home? Do you think that there’s nothing better than a home and halls decked to their glory, lit up, dressed up in reds, golds, silvers, blues, greens? Are you a traditionalist? Or is your style simple, understated, of the less is more school? Do you have have themes in specific rooms, on your trees? Does your decor have to look a specific way or do you throw caution to the wind and let the husband, kids and dogs participate, leaving trails of glitter and tinsel behind? Is your Christmas home sophisticated and elegant or is it whimsical, animated with childlike wonder?
