I wrote, last week, about my love of freshly cut flowers in the home. I love all they add to a room from color to texture to aroma. But really, I admit to loving all things floral.
Florals were hot on the runways for both Spring and Fall 2013. They were in abundance. Designers from Oscar de La Renta, to Carolina Herrera to J. Crew and Kate Spade graced their lines with bright, happy cheerful flora. The home decor and furniture industries seem to have immediately followed suit. Flowers are everywhere. In addition to this seemingly flower power revolution, wallpaper, especially floral wallpaper, seems to have made a dramatic comeback, as if to say “I’m no wallflower!” Floral covered furniture, rugs and carpeting and accessories are also in full bloom.(But you may want to refrain from using them all together!) Whether quietly demure or brazen, bright and bold, floral wallpapers, furniture and accessories are gracing homes on the pages of shelter magazines everywhere. Are they gracing your home?
