she designed a life...

Well we are a blog that is all about design…so; I thought this quote was fitting. I remember in my twenties thinking, “When I am in my forties and have it all figured out, life will be grand!” Well, I’m there, still waiting for it all to fall into place as I think most of us do year after year. I am embracing the fact  that I am captain of  my ship, the big top ring leader of this circus, the head designer on this project-so I’ve got to throw together what I love, learn to keep things simple and in perspective and above all, actively seek joy.  The older I get I really care less and less about looking to others for approval as those who really love me don’t care a hill of beans as to whether I starched the napkins or got everything polished before they arrived.  They will care about the laughter, a steadfast shoulder and of course if the food is good because what is life without good food? *wink*  Find what you love and design your personal surroundings, but moreover enfold yourself in a life filled with those you love.   Go forth and design away! Wishing you a blissful Monday.

About Kristi

Kristi Leeper is a lifelong lover of all things creative and crafty. She likes to touch things, dissect them, figure them out and maybe even reproduce them. Growing up in San Angelo, Texas she was exposed to small town values, but the world was always whispering in her ear to come out and play. Life has led her down a myriad of career paths such as a baker, licensed manicurist, florist, and a high school history teacher. The simple truth is she is good at all of these occupations and being good at a lot of things has served her well in life. She currently works as part-time as the Special Projects Manager for the Museum of the Southwest and for her husband keeping the books straight for the company he owns because he is simply a good boss and let’s her go to yoga whenever she wants.
