If you read my previous post, you know that I am setting concrete goals for 2013 and choosing to respond rather than react. Part of my homework for the MBA camp I am attending this week is to take a personality test. I took the Human Metrics test last week. My personality is INTJ. You can take the free test and see what your personality type is as well. INTJ stands for introverted, intuitive, thinking and judging (introverted intuition with extroverted thinking.) In summary, INTJ’s live in the world of ideas and strategic planning. They focus their energy on observing the world, and generating ideas and possibilities. It will be interesting to see what Tobi Fairely has to share about the Human Metric test at MBA camp. I can see how these traits can serve me in my design business. I am an observer of all beautiful things and I love taking a design idea and expanding upon it. As a designer, I use my strategic planning abilities to implement the design schemes I create.
My theme word for 2013 is COURAGE. It takes courage to accept the personality you have and use those strengths to achieve your goals. I think we often focus on developing skills that we do not have. I think it makes more sense to capitalize on the strengths God has given us. I believe it we nurture our strengths, we will develop into our fullest potential. May we all have the courage to be who God wants us to be.
