I wanted to share with you a little more about my beloved family’s summer home, Hadley Court. My fondest and happiest memories center around my summers at Hadley Court. The picture above is the family chapel on the grounds of Hadley Court. My mother lovingly built this chapel as place for family worship and a memorial for her father who was killed in action during World War II. I have witnessed the circle of life take place in this chapel from weddings to funerals. The chapel is one place I can always go to find inner peace.
I think what I love most about Hadley Court is that my children have grown to love the simple pleasures that Hadley Court has to offer. This is a picture of my son when he was younger. He could spend hours fishing at the pond not far from the house. There are countless simple pleasures my children have learned to appreciate at Hadley Court from horseback riding, canoeing down the river, herding cattle and eating home grown fruits and vegetables. My hope is that my children will instill this same love of simple pleasures to their children and then their children. I believe that true joy in life comes not from attaining great riches or fame, but simply from enjoying everyday pleasures we so often overlook.
