But first, let us share with you more about BLANCO and their commitment to luxury, quality and giving back.
Proud of its European heritage and award-winning German engineering, BLANCO has an inspirational breadth of timeless design possibilities to help make the kitchen the favorite place for families to gather in the home.
As seen in the opening photo showcasing a BLANCO sink in an Amish-style home featured in Home & Architectural Trends Magazine, and in the second photo showing BLANCO’s newest Diamond Super Single Undermount Sink, sinks and faucets can play a vital role, not just in preparing beautiful meals, but in creating beautiful interiors.
BLANCO is passionate about environmental stewardship and giving back through such causes as The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, which you will see more of below.
In addition, BLANCO participates in Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA), by offering a donation to the foundation each time its ATTIKA sink, shown in the picture below, is specified. The Attika sink won Interior Design Magazine’s 2014 Best of Year category *Kitchens: Sinks and Faucets.*
Since 1994, BLANCO has been a member of the Caux Round Table (CRT), an international network of principled business leaders and companies working to promote a moral capitalism.
BLANCO’s belief that functional and timeless design can help create a calm, restful and healing environment is especially demonstrated in the Long Island Ronald McDonald House, a respite for families of seriously ill children being treated in a nearby hospital. BLANCO donated three sinks and a faucet to the recent Phase II design of an expanded 1,600-square-foot open and universally accessible kitchen & dining area that’s spacious enough for multiple families to cook and dine simultaneously, while offering an uplifting and comfortable feeling.
Designed by Manhasset-based kitchen and interior designer Vasi Ypsilantis and Sea Cliff-based interior designer Margreet Cevasco, the space includes fresh ideas that can be adapted to any kitchen renovation, such as creating a focal point with a bold accent color on wall or pantry doors; maximizing cooking and storage areas with double islands; expanded pantry space for large families; coffered ceilings and bringing the outside in with the juxtaposition of bold and neutral colors.
“If we can allow families caring for their children in the neighboring hospital some comforts of home and a living space that supports them, then we have achieved our goal,” said designer Margreet Cevasco.
Added BLANCO, “We are proud to partner in the (Ronald McDonald) project which features BLANCO sinks and faucets inside a stunning dream kitchen.”

Lovely work!! Charming one
I forgot to mention – this is Christy from BLANCO. 🙂
The winner of my #BLANCOgivesback Giveaway is Shelley Harcar. Shelley, please email us your email and home address please to [email protected]!
Thank you to all who entered! They were all super designs and such worthy charities.
Thanks you so very much. I am so excited to have this opportunity to give some support to an organization that works so tirelessly for the benefit of these abandoned dogs. I will send my address directly. I have sent a message to Youngstown Dogs- Surviving the Streets and hope to have the information for a donation to them soon. THANK YOU again!!!
I actually chose three combinations and it would depend on my cabinets and the size of my kitchen and the lighting in the room. My first choice was ILGRANIT White
Soapstone light grey matt, my second choice SILGRANIT Biscotti
Marble red-brown high gloss, and my third choice is ILGRANIT Cafe brown
Travertine beige structured.Would use one of these, happy with any of them. If I win I would donate the $100 to Heavens own rescue and dog kennel. These people go all over the eastern side of the country rescuing dogs and puppies from kill shelters, take care of them and vet them and then put them up for adoption. The do all of this with donations and the small adoption fee they charge. They take great care of the pets and are very loving.
My fav is Brown -grey high gloss countertop with the Silgranite Anthracite sink color! If I win my charity would be the Stanly County Humane Society as its a small community and not lots of economic growth and this organization sometimes gets put on the back burner and all furbabies need a warm place to sleep and fed.
Slate Matt for counter and white sink. I love the contrast of such a dark and light color. The charity I would love the 100 dollars to go to would be Millennium Villages. They address the root cause of extreme poverty by helping set up community led projects of self sustain mint.
I love the Brown -grey high gloss countertop with the Silgranite Anthracite sink color!
If I won, I would choose St Judes childrens hospital as the charity.
While I am blessed to have 4 beautiful, healthy grandkids..some are not so fortunate. St Judes treats these children regardless of their ability to pay. They are also continuously researching for a cure for childhood cancer. It just doesn’t get any more important than that.
Thank you for the opportunity!
I selected the Silgranit “Cinder” sink, one of my favorites from Blanco, and the Plum Grey Matt countertop. They make for a warm, textural combination.
My charity is Saddle Up!, a PATH certified riding center for special needs children, aged 4-17. Located near Nashville, TN, at Saddle Up, kids who have a hard time walking can run and those who can’t talk can give commands. Spending time on the back of a horse changes a child’s balance, coordination and, most importantly, their confidence!
BLANCO is delighted to match the charitable contribution for the winner – to a charity of their choice. We will match the $50. What a wonderful promotion. Thank you everyone for participating.
SILGRANIT Cafe brown & Marble red-brown high gloss were the sink & counter top combination I chose. I loved the uniqueness of the combination & I believe it would be quite striking in my home. If I win, I would donate my winnings to a small local dog rescue organization called “Youngstown Dogs – Surviving the Streets” Every single day, regardless of weather, members of the group comb the streets, woods, fields & abandoned homes searching for helpless, homeless dogs. It can take weeks or longer to win over a street dog enough for the dog to go with the volunteers. Once he/she does, the dog receives food, shelter &vetting, when it is possible, the dog is placed in a foster home for socialization. The goal is to find safe & loving forever homes for these outcasts. As you can imagine, large costs are incurred by this organization. They valiantly do thankless work to change the lives of helpless, and otherwise friendless dogs and I would be pleased to offer them a bit of monetary support.
