LIVE JOYFULLY. GO ON AN ADVENTURE. HONOR YOUR PROMISES. SPEAK FROM THE HEART. BE REAL. CHOOSE HAPPINESS.
These are but 6 of the 23 *manifesto brand messages* that San Diego based PIRCH – a kitchen, bath and decorative fixtures retailer that is taking the design + consumer world by storm, encourages its customers, its vendor partners and its employees to live by.
PIRCH – Atlanta was one of the sponsors of the recent Design Bloggers Conference that Leslie Hendrix Wood, Lynda Quintero -Davids and I recently attended in Atlanta and today, dear readers, I want to share with you some of the ways in which this retailer truly LIVES its brand. I have never been so impressed by any retailer in my life.
I am christening this retailer *The APPLE Of Kitchen & Bath Showrooms*, because their kitchen and bathroom stores, and their staff, are just that impressive.
For those of you who are Hadley Court readers in Texas, they have a beautiful store in Dallas, if you haven’t been there yet, that just held the kick off party for the Dallas headquartered charity Dwell With Dignity’s THRIFT STUDIO event. At the THRIFT STUDIO pop up shop opening next month, you can purchase gorgeous items for your home at prices up to 75% off, with all proceeds going to support Dwell with Dignity’s work in providing beautifully designed homes for formerly homeless families.
{For more on kitchen and bath makeovers done by Dwell with Dignity, see HC contributor Kim Darden Shaver’s beautiful post about that, here. }
But for now, let’s go back to how much FUN was to be had visiting PIRCH -Atlanta!
As Leslie Hendrix Wood and I entered PIRCH for the first time, we were greeted by a *lifestyle experience consultant.* She was so charming and so much fun to be with. I had questions about PIRCH , as a retailer, and Leslie had questions about their products, so she and I split up after being greeted. What follows are my experiences.
Here’s my charming greeter! Rarely in my life have I ever met someone with whom I share the exact same sense of humor, but this wonderful woman and I did, and we proceeded to have the absolute BEST time together, as you will see in my #yelpyelp videos at the end of this post!
So, after I was greeted, so JOYFULLY, I was in awe… of this BLANCO sink with its white drain.
If you remember, we ran a #BLANCOgivesback giveaway here on the blog during #KBIS2015, {see that here] where BLANCO kindly matched our giveaway amount. This giveaway was won by Shelley Harcar, who chose a most wonderful charity to have her giveaway money go to, located in Youngstown Ohio. The woman who runs this charity, called Youngstown Dogs -Surviving The Street, rescues homeless dogs and finds adoptive homes for them! Just look at this collage of her most recent rescue, ADARA.
Thank you, BLANCO, for helping to make Adara’s life better, her pups will now all find loving homes when they are born. And readers, you might just enjoy seeing BLANCO’s wonderful INSPIRATIONS magazine, here.
And if you’re tempted to donate to support the work of this woman who goes out in the freezing cold to rescue these dogs, please let us know in the comments, and we will happily email you her address!
Back to PIRCH eye candy! In the PIRCH showrooms, they show hundreds of different vignettes of kitchen, bath, and outdoor living products, and each vignette is more beautifully detailed and showcased than the next. Seriously, look at that tile wall [ not to mention the lighting and how beautifully the ceiling is detailed] ~
Hello La Cornue in aqua blue!! …but it’s the quilted tile fr0m Oceanside Glasstile that REALLY got me.
One of the great things about PIRCH is that every fixture is plumbed , and works, so you can see and feel and hear the flow of water from each shower head or faucet. Below is my good friend from WITHIT, Caroline Hipple, who lives in Atlanta, is a major philanthropist herself there, and was the former CEO of Storehouse. Caroline is one of [ if not THE ] smartest retail consultant working today. She GETS it. This was her first visit to PIRCH and I loved showing her around and introducing her to Lisa and Kim of Dwell with Dignity.
Caroline loved PIRCH’s “Department of Yes” statement inscribed on this wall.
One of my personal favorite spaces within the PIRCH showroom was the SANCTUARY. In this space, they showcased their vendor partner, Mr. Steam, as well as several other vendors. I took this picture so you can see how a Mr. Steam looks, installed, in a shower. You hardly notice it’s there, right?
Mr. Steam was one of Leslie Hendrix Wood’s favorite sponsors during her time on Veronika Miller’s recent #BlogTourVegas to the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. If you missed our post on why we love Mr. Steam, please click here to see it, and to get more information on their wonderful products to relax you at the end of a stressful day.
We loved the video that was playing in the wall, explaining the Mr. Steam product. Smart retailing!
Here’s a picture of all the different types of showerheads they have and each one of these showerheads works, so you can, if you wish, feel the waterflow. We loved this.
And let me say, PIRCH knows how to throw a party! Their party at the Design Bloggers Conference included these two glamazonian women walking around, as the theme was all about masquerade. I felt so short between these two, but it was a fun moment!
This was how dessert was served at the PIRCH party. As you can see, next time you have the chance to attend one of their events, DO. They outdid themselves in every aspect of their hospitality towards all of us and TRULY, with this party, they lived this tenant of their 23 point brand promise: BE INTENTIONAL. STRIVE TO CREATE BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS.
What did I like the absolute best, though, about PIRCH? Probably the fact that they give away free rubber bracelets, in different colors! – printed with > LIVE JOYFULLY.
They make it possible for you to wear – and experience [hello free capucchino!] – their brand promise, even if you don’t need a kitchen or bath – at the moment.
How wonderful is that?
And then there are these, their 23 brand promises, wrapping every column in their showroom!
So, you have to love a retailer like this, right? LOVE with capital letters..and we all did.
And to show my love, I did 2 quick videos, because they told me that what they like best, and what helps their business grow, are positive reviews on the consumer review site, YELP.
So, I had the idea to do #yelpyelp videos, where I would chirp: *yelp, yelp* while sitting on – or in- products I loved. I chose two.
Here they are! Enjoy, dear readers …and thank you PIRCH for bringing the JOY back into the retail experience and for treating the Hadley Court team, and all of us who were lucky enough to attend your sumptuous party that you underwrote for the Design Bloggers Conference, to an evening and an experience we will never forget.
We appreciate YOU.
