Summer Vacations: Luxury + Simplicity

So many families are now planning their summer vacations - is yours one of them? Whether you are going to Paris as Leslie Hendrix Wood and her husband are with their children to expose them to great art, to the slower pace of a culture that defines pure, unfiltered beauty or just simply going on a staycation in your own home.. today’s post is meant to inspire you to breathe deeply and listen to what your heart and body needs to feel rested and refreshed.

Some of you may be getting your families ready for a trip to Italy…..to stay at this hotel…which is widely considered to have the most beautiful swimming pool in the world. Do any of you know the name of this hotel, overlooking this magnificent view and 1th century Italian ruins on the Amalfi Coast in Italy? This is the morning view and below it is the sunset view.

Which view do you prefer? I’ll take both! When you’re on a luxury vacation.. you can have it all..and then some. For instance, when you begin to float in the gently heated water of the Belmond’s Hotel Caruso on the Amalfi Coast, featured above, your pool concierge can bring you your favorite cocktail, an iPod pre-loaded with your choice of music, a fresh fruit appetizer, an Evian vaporizer or whatever your heart desires. Talk about pure, unadulterated, luxury summer vacation indulgence! #swoon

However, if you don’t like to travel or don’t have the time, you might want to invest in creating a year round summer vacation at your own homes - with furniture and a floating pool island like this one.

Is your idea of a luxury summer vacation, though, to get away, far away, from it ALL?
