The Many Doors of Paris

the many doors of Paris

If you have been following the blog, you know that my family recently returned from Paris. While strolling through the streets of Paris, I was fascinated by all the beautiful doors. Needless to say, we do not have such exquisite front doors in West Texas. As I went from one beautiful door to the next, I found myself daydreaming of who and what lay beyond the doors.

Can you imagine coming home to this front door? I adore the intricate carving and the exquisite grain of the wood.

I adore this door. I love the subtle patina of the wood and, of course, the hardware is to die for.

This door is equally as beautiful with a rich, warm patina. I love the wood parquet pattern in the bottom panels of the doors.

I am intrigued by the simplicity of this door. The carved leaf motif down the center panel is just enough to spice it up. The lion and leaf motif carved in the stone to the right are a perfect compliment to frame the door.

And what girl would not be happy entering these doors?

And last, but not least, what about this black beauty? The black lacquered finish is irresistible. This is my favorite door! Which one do you like the best?
