Is it possible to wear too much of a good thing? This image has me thinking it might be, although I love the ultimate leopard print trolley carry-on from Jimmy Choo. #SWOON! Sadly, from what I can see online however, it is not available anymore…
Which brings me to the topic of today’s post: my search for the perfect purse/roller bag to carry around at tradeshows like Dallas Market, High Point Market, Maison Objet, the National Kitchen and Bath Association Show, World Market Center Las Vegas, etc. and for you, readers, who don’t attend these shows, is there someplace where you are travelling, too, and need to have the perfect, chic trolley/purse on rollers that saves your back and feet from aching and that you can take into a shop and not have it look like *luggage*?
I’ve been searching and searching for this ideal piece for a year now and, today, I may have just found it, and I’m going to share it with you later on this post, but, first, a..
TRAVEL TIP!
There are new rules for carry on baggage sizes….and they were a deal killer for a few of my other favorite choices, like the bag above by Hang Accessories because it is 15″ wide x 10″ deep x 22″ high and, therefore, it will not fit the new tough airline regulations for carry on sizes that recently went into effect. This will be upsetting to those that have found the perfect rolling briefcase for women.
Here is a visual from United Airlines showing the new rules for carry-on luggage sizes. Please note how these sizes now INCLUDE handles + roller feet. What you thought might be fine, possibly the carry on luggage you might have currently, is more than likely too big now and will need to be checked.
The new size, for your carry on, including handles and feet, is: 22″ high, 14″ wide and 9″ deep.
BAGGALINI’s Skyline Rolling Briefcase was a top contender for a great rolling “trolley/purse” that could be used at markets and for shopping excursions, until I saw this dimension:
16″ wide.
It won’t make it as a carry-on anymore and, even though, it MIGHT slip by, I can’t take that chance.
Bye,bye Bagallini. I really loved your bright pink interior and all of your other color options, too, and you were, by far, the most well made for the reasonable price, of the options I saw. And, by the way, your 360 view feature on your website is exactly what women love to see on a website. Thank you!
If you can come in the new smaller size, you’re mine!
For the uber luxury traveller, Hermes makes this…don’t ask the price, it’s exorbitant – but isn’t it chic?
However, at 14″ x 14* x 10″ – guess what? It doesn’t fit the new carry on travel dimensions, either, because it’s 10″ deep and not 9″ deep, the new maximum depth.
Be careful before you splurge!
Can you imagine having to check this after paying….7300.00 for it? #GULP!
I can’t either.
However, if you don’t care about checking it and you understand that all truly great design – whether interiors or product- is in the creative thought process, the meticulous hand craftsmanship and in the details, see below.
So, now… for those of you, readers, who, like me, need a great professional looking carry on that fits within the new size rules, that’s chic, that functions and that doesn’t break the entire bank, I give you my winner.
The MILANO.
Here is the red ..and the black, available in matte leather and in patent leather, from Jacques George, made in the USA.
This rolling briefcase for women bag with its purse like compartment on the front says chic and practical to me and, although still pricey at $395.00, seems like an investment that will last a lifetime and at
it works with the new carry on regulations!
What do you think, Hadley Court readers? Do you like it, too?

Happy travelling..and because every woman I know loves shoes, I leave you with this.
Why not, right? However, another option is to ship your shoes { and your oversize fabulous purses } ahead of time, via UPS, straight to your hotel. It works like a charm.
Promise.
