A Taste of Europe

BONJOUR!

My family and I just returned from a trip to Europe. We visited two of my favorite cities, Paris and Salzburg. We took this trip to celebrate my daughter graduating from High School. I think the greatest gifts you can give your children are an education and travel. My parents gave me both and I am forever grateful.

In the weeks to come, I will share with you more detailed posts about some of the fabulous things I saw in Europe. The sights of Paris are certainly intoxicating for an Interior Decorator. There is exquisite beauty at every turn.

I think Paris may be my most favorite place in the world. I long to go back and I would love to live there. Do any of you have a love affair with Paris like I do?

Leslie Hendrix Wood is the founding editor of the luxury lifestyle and design blog, Hadley Court and an interior decorator with Chancellor Interiors in Midland, Texas.

Leslie received her undergraduate degree in business. She worked briefly in banking and returned to school to earn her MBA.

Upon graduation, she moved to Washington D.C. to work on a Presidential campaign and received a Presidential appointment to a position in International Trade.

At the end of the administration, Leslie returned to her hometown and joined the family oil and gas business, although her first passion has always been, after raising her children with her husband, business and interior design.

When she saw her children were closer to leaving home, she decided to start the blog, Hadley Court. in 2012, which won the Design Bloggers Conference Hall of Fame award for Best New Design Blog in 2013 - a prestigious honor granted by her peers.

In 2014, she is, in addition to blogging, beginning to build the family friendly luxury lifestyle brand: HADLEY COURT, based on her values of Gracious Living, Timeless Design and Family Traditions.

I’ve long had a love affair with Paris. It’s a magical city. I love to walk and take in the ambiance. There is something beautiful at every turn. I noticed a familiar napkin from Auberge Bressane.

reading a good book by the ‘born to shop lady’, ‘C’est la vie’ about her move to paris, recommend it

Lovely post, Leslie. I had the blessing and opportunity to participate in a 12 day study architectural tour of Paris and surroundings with a group of designers headed by Dr Cheryl Myers. We were her 13th tour and she guided us to places most tourists rarely see or know it is there. Treasured memories for me as I know is the case for you and your beautiful family.
