I had the great pleasure of touring the Picture Source showroom at High Point Market in IHFC C341 in High Point, North Carolina last Friday afternoon. Picture Source was one of my hosts for High Point Market and their art certainly was a thrill to see.

The owner of Picture Source, John Hoyt, was an absolute delight to get to know. John has a military background and is well travelled. It is through his many travels that he met artists and learned how to ship quality artwork.

Picture Source is more than just a picture wholesaler. Art consultants at Picture Source work with your design concepts to select the best artwork for your project. This is every designer’s dream. It is like having your own art historians and curators on staff.

Picture Source also works extensively with the Hospitality sector to provide unique artwork that makes a statement about each client’s story. Learn more about their hospitality division by visiting http://hospitalityartsolutions.com.

Picture Source also works with the healthcare design industry to offer art that is soothing during times of medical stress and uncertainty. You can see more about the healthcare division, here.

Not only is the art used by Picture Source stunning, their attention to detail is meticulous. Each picture is backed with foam core. How many times have you put your hand through the flimsy butcher paper backing on most pictures?

The corners are very secure and the picture wire for hanging is plastic coated. All pictures can be customized with individualized mat boards and frames. Again, all the details that are music to a designer’s ears. The fine details are endless: like the hand-torn curled edges on photos as well as the use of gold leaf.

The bright abstract photo above is the work of John Reams, who is an exclusive artist to Picture Source. His multi-original artwork is available as giclee prints on paper, framed as well as stretched, gallery wrapped canvases.

I adore this artwork by John Butler, who has been a High Point fixture for over 20 years.

This custom framed, mulberry paper art is stunning. Mulberry paper is hand made from the leaves and bark of the mulberry tree, naturally dyed and custom formed into sheets of designs.

How fun is the art above?  I can see it in a game room or a modern high rise in New York City.

The media used is decograph that can be displayed floating between glass or mounted to matboard. It is self-adhering and bonds with glass instantly. Each piece is hand made and hand painted. The deco graphs come in a variety of frame options and frame designs. They can all be custom made with custom colors and sizes , too.

Another wonderful quality about Picture Source is their selection of sustainable moulding options. Options include sustainably harvested wood moulding, ecowood moulding, and sustainably sourced and recycled composite moulding.

As you can see, the possibilities for art with Picture Source are truly endless. The possibilities extend as far as your imagination can go. I urge you to take a look at their website, http://picture-source.com and consider Picture Source your personal art curator.

If you haven’t seen their beautiful selection yet, and you’re at High Point Market, I urge you to go see them in the IHFC building in their new showroom there in the Commerce Wing – 341.

Thank you, Picture Source, for being one of my sponsors to High Point Market and myself and my team wish you every continuing success with your dedication to representing quality artists at a reasonable price and your commitment to beautiful framing and sustainability.

We invite our friends to follow Picture Source on Twitter at http://twitter.com/PictureSource and on Facebook at http://facebook.com/PictureSource.
