Go Vertical

Not sure where to put that indoor herb garden? We suggest going vertical and taking advantage of that wall space. This will free up countertop space, and the herb garden doubles as an aesthetically pleasing part of your wall decor.

Consider Lighting

For herbs to thrive, they need to be near a source of natural light, so take this into consideration when finding a place for your herb garden. For some herbs, you may want to avoid direct sunlight so adjacent to a window may work best. Just be sure the location you’re selecting isn’t too dark or far away from your light source.

Easy Access

An herb garden may be lovely to look at, but it should be functional, too. Which is why it’s so important to pick a place where you’ll have easy access. Whether you’re cooking up some fresh pasta and need a dash of basil or want to clip some rosemary for that roast chicken, having your herb garden handy makes all the difference. Keep it Manageable

If you aren’t exactly a green thumb, start with a smaller herb garden of just a few herbs that are easy to take care of. As you get comfortable taking care of plants and gain more confidence, you can then start expanding your indoor herb garden.

We love indoor herb gardens are they’re just as aesthetically pleasing as they are useful for the kitchen! They’re low maintenance, double as decor and will add natural beauty to your home.

What are your favorite indoor herb garden ideas? Will you incorporate fresh herbs into your home?
