Fall 2015 High Point Market, dear Hadley Court readers, was all about fashion trends translated into furniture, as epitomized by the first furniture collections from two well known names in fashion: Cynthia Rowley and Kate Spade.Both fashion designers remained true to their signature fashion roots as they introduced two remarkable collections to the 75,000+ people that came to shop at High Point Market, the world’s largest wholesale furniture market in the world.
Cynthia’s first collection, *Cynthia Rowley for Hooker Furniture* [ her *Fleur de Glee* desk that Leslie Style Spotted is pictured above ] was an instant hit as was Kate Spade’s first furniture collection for E.J. Victor, *Kate Spade New York Home* designed by Kate Spade’s Senior Vice President of Design, Deb Camplin. Kate Spade’s *Downing* desk that Leslie Style Spotted is pictured below.
{ Trend note: it was definitely a market for fabulous desks and it makes sense, as 34 million people are working from home now! }
Here’s Leslie Hendrix Wood with fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, below, before Leslie toured the Hooker Furniture showroom to see Cynthia’s new collection in person. Cynthia was so charming and natural and Leslie especially appreciated knowing that Cynthia was also a working Mom.
{If you missed our extensive first post on Cynthia, which includes a wonderful picture of Cynthia and her husband and children, please come back and click here to read it.}
Before we saw Cynthia’s collection in person, we posted a picture of Cynthia’s stunning antique mirrored headboard over on our Facebook Page, which people loved, and now we can show you these close up details of it.
One reason attending High Point Market is a must for any interior designer and/or brick and mortar retailer is to be able to see these details close up like this.
While Cynthia’s collection had wonderful bursts of color and modern forms, it also contained a variety of pieces like the bed that would appeal to those with more classically traditional taste, like we know many of you have, dear readers.
Now, back to Kate Spade.
What is the design detail that will forever be associated with Kate Spade fashion?? If you guessed, *bows*, you guessed right! Kate Spade for E.J. Victor was all about the bow, in every detail. From the base of her dining table, to the back of her dining chair, to the charming bow at the base of this small accent table widely shared on Instagram.
Here’s a picture of Leslie Hendrix Wood with Deb Camplin. Deb, the designer of this collection, also spoke about the thought process behind the *Kate Spade New York Home* introduction at the sold out WITHIT breakfast on Sunday morning, sponsored by E.J. Victor.
Are you noticing Deb’s sleeve like we did? How beautiful is this detail?
Deb and her team definitely had ALL the styling details covered. Look at this adorable pen cup that was sitting on the Downing desk and how the pen was placed in it. If we hadn’t moved it a bit, those pens would be in perfect position.
And, as you can see now, the polka dots are not perfect rounds, but fuzzy-edged dots of pure charm and whimsy – whimsy being one of the *trends* Leslie noticed in many of the showrooms she visited at #HPMKT.
Here’s what Deb had to say at the WITHIT breakfast about the *Kate Spade New York Home* woman. We all loved this.
There were so many moments of beauty at #HPMKT for all of us that attended, and we will be sharing many more of our own over the coming weeks with you, dear readers. In the the meantime, in case you missed seeing all of Leslie’s Fall 2015 #HPMKT StyleSpots, please click here: http://pinterest.com/stylespotfall15/leslie-hendrix-wood .

IN CLOSING
On behalf of the entire Hadley Court team: 2015 #HPMKT StyleSpotter and the owner of the Hadley Court blog, Midland, Texas based interior designer, Leslie Hendrix Wood { INSTA/Hadley_Court }, myself, Leslie Carothers {INSTA/tkpleslie }, and blog contributors Lynda Quintero-Davids {INSTA/nyclqinteriors } and Kim Darden Shaver, we would like to thank all the manufacturers who so warmly welcomed us to their showrooms this year.
And, most of all, we would like to thank Crypton Fabric, who sponsored this Fall’s #HPMKT StyleSpotter tour. For our previous post about family- friendly Crypton Fabric, please click here .
The picture below shows a close up of how 0ne iteration of it appeared in Century Furniture showroom’s *Ode to Chanel* setting and we fell in love with how this fresh, crisp textile FELT, first, without realizing it was Crypton!
Run, don’t walk, dear readers, to purchase one of their adorable doggie beds, shown below, for this holiday season’s best Christmas gift, here.
You won’t be disappointed, and even magic marker comes right up from this fabric by dabbing the fabric [not rubbing the fabric] with a little pure soap and water, which we saw demonstrated in Thibaut Furniture’s showroom.
Thank you, Crypton Home and High Point Market Authority, for making Leslie Hendrix Wood’s 2015 StyleSpotting experience so memorable and so much fun. We appreciate all your hard work.
Readers, as always, we appreciate YOU most of all, and we hope you’re as inspired as we are by the entry of fashion’s brightest lights into the home furnishings industry.
A new era has begun with the entry of trend-setting fashion designers into the home furnishings industry and we can’t wait to bring you more of the best – here on Hadley Court.
