Pralines

Ingredients

  • 6 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 6 tbsp bourbon
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. 1,  In a very large pot, combine sugar, soda, butter and buttermilk.  Cook to soft boil stage (232 degrees)
  2. 2.  Add vanilla &  bourbon.  Beat to soft, creamy peaks.  Stir in pecans
  3. 3.  Drop by teaspoonfuls to waxed paper.
