Ruffles, Embellishment, Jewelry Like Details
These are 3 more of the elements which make up a trend I saw emerging at the Spring 2015 High Point Market a few weeks ago. I coined the trend
#TheNewFeminine.
This style is rooted in tradition, but with a modern twist. This isn’t your grandmother’s feminine, it’s a fresher, more exciting take on timeless design.
Here are some more of the pieces I style spotted, that speak to these 3 additional aspects of #TheNewFeminine: ruffles, embellishment and jewelry inspired details.

RUFFLES
I adored and style spotted The Palm Beach chair by Ambella Home. The subtle ruffled { crenellated } base of the chair captured my attention immediately. It was stunning. The beautiful coral velvet fabric on the chair and the linen, mitered corner tape trim {an embellishment} is the perfect complement to this base.
Bernhardt Furniture hit a homerun with its introduction of the CRITERIA desk. Notice how the subtle ruffle effect on the edge of the desk adds a flirty and feminine touch? I can see this lovely piece in a woman’s office or dressing room.
EMBELLISHMENT
Embellishment is certainly the feature with makes the OPHELIA chair by Marge Carson a true showstopper! Introducing this skirted chair with its encrusted mother of pearl shell back would add a sense of drama to any space.
JEWELRY INSPIRED DETAILS
Nothing says feminine more than a piece of jewelry. Designer Larry Laslo told me he was inspired by jewelry when he created his NICOS end table for Chaddock Home that I style spotted. I love the feminine elegance this end table would add to a room and it has a coordinating round cocktail table, too, that was equally pretty.
The sexy APHRODITE chandelier by Currey & Company is truly a statement piece of * jewelry for the home!* It would be as pretty in your home as a beautiful diamond hoop earring is, dangling from the ear lobe of a well dressed woman!
