Today, we’d like to share joy with you, Hadley Court readers. The joy of a friend whose design work we admire – our friend Kim Hendricks Hoegger, who owns the lovely shopping haven, Kim Hoegger Home in Dallas. Kim shares our love for monograms and sells, among other things, Amy Howard’s paint products, which we also love and have previously featured on Hadley Court.
Some of you may also know Emily McCarthy, who designed Kim’s beautiful monogram below and the quote card above { don’t miss more of Emily’s work later in the post ! }
[ FYI: Our previous post about the opening of Kim’s new store was your 5th favorite post in all of 2013 ]
Before sharing more about why we’re sharing one of Kim’s joyous moments today on Hadley Court, here’s a little backstory:
As many of you know who are long time readers of Hadley Court, Leslie just finished getting her daughter situated at the University of Texas – Austin for her first year of college. Leslie wrote about her bittersweet experience here, and shared some great *Before and After* pictures of decorating her dorm room, including this picture of the custom monogrammed pillow she had made for Amy.
I think it is the perfect finishing touch in helping Leslie’s daughter feel that the dorm room is *hers* in a way that isn’t usually experienced by an entering 18 year old freshman, do you?
Leave it to a loving Mom to create such a thoughtful touch.
Now back to our friend, designer Kim Hendricks Hoegger. Kim just left her own daughter off at college, which she shared was a bittersweet moment for her, too.
So, today on Hadley Court, we thought we’d cheer her up a bit by sharing how happy we were to see her family’s lake house in the Ozarks featured on the cover of Meredith Corporation’s COTTAGE STYLE magazine earlier this year. We know this was a truly joyous moment for her.
Isn’t this pretty?
This is the picture of Kim’s guest room that made the cover of Cottage Style, a Better Homes and Gardens *Special Interest* publication. The white chest in this charming lake house guest room was purchased from Home Goods, according to the accompanying article, a favorite resource for HC contributor Lynda Quintero – Davids.
Kim is a very talented designer in Dallas { one of several friends there that are! } and we invite all of our designer friends and readers to please visit her shop, Kim Hoegger Home on North Henderson if you haven’t already, to see what you may be able to find as a gift or for your own homes.
Personally, we love these monogrammed napkins in her store, that she featured on her Facebook Page, here, that feature a…
