One home decor trend we are loving right now is patterned tiles. If you’ve been living in neutral and minimalist land for the past few years, it’s time to take a risk with some statement tile! There are a number of ways you can use patterned tile in your home, so if you’ve been hesitant in the past we’ll show you a few ways to try this trend that are sure to inspire you.
On the wall
Take your patterned tile to the wall in place of wallpaper! It looks phenomenal in the bathroom and adds a wow factor to an otherwise completely neutral space.
Inlaid as a Rug
If you want to dip your toes into the patterned tile trend, try it inlaid as a rug. It’s done beautifully here in this galley kitchen but this would look just as lovely in a bathroom space, too. To get the look, we suggest a complementary tile that picks up one of the neutral colors of your patterned tile.
Bathroom Floor
One of the most popular spaces we are seeing use patterned tile is in the bathroom. It’s a great way to add some pop to your powder room and truly eye-catching. We suggest keeping everything else in the room minimal and pairing it with a plain tile like subway.
Kitchen Floor
The all-white kitchen may be classic, but we are seeing more and more eccentric kitchens these days and a great way to get the look is with some patterned tile! These tiles make this kitchen look absolutely vibrant and truly a happy place to be.
As a Backsplash
This patterned tile features a large pattern which looks amazing at eye-level when used as a backsplash. This particular tile ties in beautifully with the cabinets yet adds just the right amount of interest to the space.
Are you loving the patterned tile trend as much as we are? What’s your favorite use of the tile and have you used it in your space?
