Whether you’re looking to maximize your space or want to know how to corral so many tiny items, this list of 7 clever nursery organization ideas is sure to help and inspire!

Yes, decorating a nursery and getting ready for baby is fun. But before baby arrives, you’ll want to make sure the space is well-organized. Learn how with these inspiring nursery organization ideas.

Organize Drawers with Dividers and Bins

Newsflash: baby stuff is tiny! Use drawer dividers like these or bins to keep everything nice and tidy like Bryannah did of Healthy Little Mama.

To maximize space, roll up pajamas and onesies. This allows you to easily find what you’re looking for at a glance!

Keep diaper essentials together like diapers, wipes and a spare changing table pad cover. Not sure what to do with those socks? You can toss those right in to their own tiny bin.

Utilize Under the Crib Storage Space

nursery organization ideas: under the crib storage

If you have a small nursery or are trying to maximize your storage space, a great nursery organization idea is to use the space under your crib as storage space.

You can use under-bed bins like these to store clothes baby has outgrown or a storage container as seen here from Crayons and Cravings. This is also a great place to store seasonal items and blankets, too.

Use the Dresser as a Changing Table

There’s no need to get a separate dresser and changing table; just use your dresser as a changing table like in this floral nursery. Be sure to anchor it to the wall for safety reasons and you can anchor the changing pad right on top.

Then, dedicate one drawer for all of your diaper essentials. If you have the space for it on top of your dresser, a diaper caddy  will hold all of these items.

Group Nursery Essentials in Cute Jars

Whether you’re trying to figure out pacifier storage or what to do with all of those headbands, cute jars can totally save the day. You can place them on an end table or right on your dresser if there’s room, like in this example from Making Manzanita.

Another nursery organization idea I love is using how Blesse’r House used a tiered fruit basket for extra storage. You could also use bathroom vanity organizers for grouping lotions and potions together on a cute tray.

Create a Nursing Station

A comfortable place to retreat and nurse your little one is really nice to have – like this nursing station by Healthy Little Mama.

From a place to set your glass of water to having swaddles within arms reach, this is one nursery organization idea we highly recommend.

Use a Rolling Cart for Extra Storage

A rolling cart isn’t just for hair and beauty tools, you can also store stuff like diaper essentials, too! This neat idea from Wendy Correen utilizes an IKEA rolling cart.
