BEST WRITING ON A DESIGN BLOG
We have been long time fans of the witty, irreverent writing of New York based interior designer, Laurel Bern of Laurel Bern Interiors. While at the same time she tickles our funny bone, her posts are also full of very useful information. Her post, here, on Downton Abbey paint color combinations is a tour de force of design blogging.
Please join us in congratulating Laurel on

BEST DESIGN AND PHOTOGRAPHY ON A DESIGN BLOG
Courtney of French Country Cottage, who lives in California, is widely loved for her charming, beautiful french country cottage style and works with brands all over the country who appreciate her styling and photography skills. We first met Courtney when she attended the first DESIGN CAMPUS event in Austin with Leslie Hendrix Wood and I back in 2013, and now here she is, 4 years later, the winner of this prestigious award. We are so happy for her!

And lastly, we’d like to share with all of the new inductees into the Design Bloggers Hall of Fame a bit about our own journey.
Do any of you remember, back in 2013, when this blog, Hadley Court, that Leslie Hendrix Wood owns, won the award for Best New Design blog?
Now, fast forward to 2016, and Leslie has been asked to be a contributing design blogger on Martha Stewart’s site, www.marthastewart.com. Her first post will go live very soon. It has been uploaded to the MSLO site, and we are now waiting for Martha Stewart’s internal editors to publish it.
When it goes live, it will showcase the before and after interior design work of Design Bloggers Conference attendees, Kelly Murray Kole and Joanne Carlozzo Kandrac of KandracKole Interiors in Atlanta, the before and after design work of Laura Schwartz – Muller, co-owner of Four Point Design and Construction in Los Angeles and the current President of ASID in Los Angeles, and the interior design work of Lori Gilder, of Lori Gilder, Inc. in Los Angeles and co-founder with kitchen designer Rebecca Reynolds, of the Kitchen Design Network.
We hope, over time, to feature the work of many more of our design friends 0n Martha Stewart’s site that we’ve met through the years at the Design Bloggers Conference and at other events we’ve attended.
Together, we grow. And Leslie Hendrix Wood is grateful.
