Here at Hadley Court, we love simple, modern and classical design.

These timeless interiors are evident in his own Los Angeles Hideaway.

Similarly, he designed Reese Witherspoon’s home and Draper James’ Nashville Boutique.

Among many talents Mark D Sikes’ specializes in interior design and even beautiful women’s clothing(I mean is there anything he cannot do?).

You can even celebrate American style with Mark D. Sikes’ New York Times best-selling book Beautiful: All-American Decorating and Timeless Style.

Discover chic and accessible ideas for every home, utilizing blue, white neutrals and greens for every part of the home.

Recently, Sikes’ has now entered the lighting arena with a 36-piece collection.

Effortless details and universal forms are woven together, forming approachable, yet elegant fixtures.

Timeless.

Above all, Sikes intends these designs to be “created to be used time and again”.

The line for Hudson Valley Lighting is presented in five different collection “stories:” the Spheres, Metal & Paint, Curves, Glass and Plaster.

The Spheres are simple silhouettes that are very detail-oriented and are adorned with gold, silver and bronze finishes.

The Never Ending Circle

“My favorite shape is a circle. It’s simple, modern and classic,”

“The never-ending shape symbolizes openness by being strong, yet soft.”

-Mark D. Sikes

Sikes collection with Hudson Valley Lighting tells the story through curves and spheres, aiming to cast a beautiful light.

As a result, Sikes uses round details including – ball screws, joints, back plates, and perforated openings.

The glass line strikes a note of polished elegance and timeless beauty. The metal and paint series offers a beautiful range of color from darkest blue to earth blue to cream, white and black.

Mark’s personal favorite is this Classic brass chandelier that was front and center at the High Point Market debut of the collection:

“Mark is the perfect partner for Hudson Valley Lighting.” Above all he “… takes traditional ideas of design and beauty and then adds the unexpected.” mentioned David Littman, founder and CEO of Hudson Valley Lighting Group.

He uses details such as the rattan-wrapped stems in the Curves Collection. Similarly, a striking rope pendant on one of the plaster lights, gives it a coastal flavor.  These simple embellishments have the ability to change the “..look and feel of an entire silhouette” reflects Littman.
