Our top 4 *must see* new collections at Spring 2016 High Point Market!
There are so many exciting new collections and introductions at High Point Market, which starts this Friday, Hadley Court friends!
It’s impossible to bring them all to you, but today, we’re going to share with you our top picks for 4 we think will set the tone for design in the USA for 2016.
Our first pick is certainly one of the most anticipated – that of Detroit based interior designer, Corey Damen Jenkins, who designed the room you see below and whose work can also be seen in this month’s Traditional Home magazine.
Corey’s rise to fame from his humble beginnings in Detroit is a book that is waiting to be written and, in person, he is the very definition of gracious living.
Corey’s new collection for Leathercraft will consist of 15 pieces and this piece, below, is one we can’t wait to see and sit in, in person.
Do you love it, already, as much as we do?
Another *sneak peek* from his new collection is this chair.
We love the monogram like detail incised into the leather.
Do you, too?
If you’re a long time reader of ours, you will know how much we love illustrations and hand renderings here at Hadley Court. We can easily see pairing Corey’s tete-a-tete, with Currey and Company’s gorgeous new crystal and gold chandelier, inspired by nature, designed for them by Aviva Stanoff Design, a *dyed in the wool* Brooklynite, who recently relocated to Southern California.
Currey and Company is always a generous underwriter of every philanthropic event within the furniture and interior design industry and Ms. Stanoff is already a well known textile manufacturer in her own right. It’s wonderful to see Currey partnering with such a strong, successful woman for their new collection.
What do you think, readers, of Ms. Stanoff’s chandelier, below? Do you love it half as much as we do?
We can’t wait to see it in person, lit, and dripping in glamour.
We think it also deserves its own picture, so you can see the details.
Our third pick for a top new collection at High Point Market is that of French designer Jean Louis Denoit for Baker Furniture. Below is an entrance that Mr. Denoit designed for supermodel Karlie Kloss’s Chicago home.
We can’t wait to see what he’s done for Baker Furniture and we know we’re not alone.
They have not released any *sneak peek* pictures, yet, but we know it will be spectacular, based on his exquisite taste.
If you’d like to listen to Mr. Denoit, below, talk about the genesis of his collection for Baker Furniture, please click on the link at the end of this post.
And lastly, we’re excited about the collection debut of first time exhibitor, Becara Home, from Spain, showing in the iconic Radio Building – an architectural landmark at High Point Market.
We think their mirrored and distressed wood chest, shown below, would be right at home in any chic interior, whether traditional or modern.
What we love best at Hadley Court about this line, however, is that it was started over 50 years ago, by a woman who had 4 young children then and a vision: Begona Zunzunegui. Today, she has been named one of the twelve most important businesswomen in Spain and runs a thriving empire, with new Becara stores opened recently in Moscow and Bogota, Colombia.
There are so many diverse activities to enjoy at High Point Market, and if you, dear readers, would like to take a peek into what else is going on at High Point Market, we invite you to click the link at the end of this post for a great read on what the Editor At Large is recommending designers *must see* at High Point Market!

And one last little visual treat we just have to share with you.
Even though these are not part of an entire new collection, we think the Clair lucite chair, *a new introduction* from our friends at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, are perfection, and best of all, you, our readers, can buy them online, here, so you can have, right away for your own homes, a little of the glamour that is #HPMKT for yourselves.
We #love.
Do you?
