While Leslie Hendrix Wood was on #BlogTourVegas, visiting all the gorgeous exhibition spaces of her wonderful #BlogTourVegas sponsors, {did you see the post about Poggenpohl, one of her sponsors, here or our #BlancoGivesBack giveaway post, here, about another one of her sponsors? ], I was busy looking around the show at some of the other innovative, beautiful kitchen and bath products that were shown by companies that were not sponsors, and today, I’m sharing 5 of my own favorites with you.

First of all was this beautiful tile with antique mirror inlay, designed by Kelli Ellis for Tile Bar. When I saw this tile, I didn’t realize it had been designed by Kelli, whom Leslie and I both know in real life and I didn’t find out it was designed by Kelli until another designer friend of ours, Patrick Landrum, re-posted this picture onto his Facebook timeline, that I had originally posted on my own Facebook profile.
I was just stopped dead in my tracks at KBIS by the beauty of this tile and snapped this picture. I was also immediately aware of the difficulty of the grout application, shown in this close up below.
Talented interior designers like Leslie Hendrix Wood, Kelli Ellis and Patrick Landrum know how difficult it is to get grout application just right, especially in a pattern like the one Kelli created here. One wrong move with the grout application and you have to re-purchase the tile and labor and start again.
This is one of the reasons you #HireADesigner for fine luxury residences or corporate environments. Designers have long standing relationships with experienced sub-contractors who know what the designer wants and who understand how to work with and communciate with the other trades who may be involved to make sure the tile installation is perfect and problem free.

For smart design, this pull out under sink drawer from Robern captured my attention. I loved the way they designed it to go around the plumbing fixtures so you didn’t lose valuable space in a smaller bathroom and I also appreciated the interior organization, shown in a close up in the next picture. Who doesn’t need this?

This corner pull out from Wellborn Cabinetry caught my eye. A deep drawer likes this with high sides allows maximum use of corner space without having to bend over. I fell in love with this idea. What do you think?

These under cabinet mounted hardware pull outs from new company, Glideware by Blum, caught my eye for their ability to hold both pans and the tops and to space them properly so they don’t bang into each other and, below this picture, see their hardware to hold your mops and brooms. Genius!

Brizo’s articulating faucet fascinated me. I have never coveted a kitchen fixture before, but this one? Yes. It is absolutely beautiful, but what makes it especially unique, that is hard to see in these pictures, is how the lever that controls the water on the side has been designed. Without going into detail, suffice it to say that if you have a backsplash and want your kitchen faucet to go right up against the backsplash with minimal clearance needed, this fixture accomplishes that.
When I saw it, I didn’t know it had won the KBIS Best In Show GOLD award, overall, but there was a reason. It deserved to win. And Brizo is also a company that gives back in an exceptional way, especially to St. Judes Children’s Hospital for cancer.

Another view, another finish and another design of this same articulating faucet. There are two design styles for this faucet. One – more transitional – is above and one – more modern – is below.

I loved this pull out kitchen table, again from Wellborn, because of the space they made underneath it for our furry friends to be comfy and maybe, if they’re good, to get fed a special crumble or two 🙂
Readers, which one of these ideas from KBIS 2015 is your own favorite? Please let us know in the comments!
