No, this is not luggage, it’s china… and I’m sharing it because, while I’m not going to China next Saturday, I will be flying from Midland, Texas – where I live – to the Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta and this china pattern by the new Dallas based line http://bbybrandie.com, above, is one of the sponsors of the Design Bloggers Conference.
My 18 year old daughter, Amy, going off to college for the first time this fall at the University of Texas, Austin, liked it when she saw it on Elle Cole’s blog. Elle was a SNEAK PEEK host with me and others for Dallas Market Center’s recent SNEAK PEEK blogger event and our Dallas Market Center is another sponsor of this year’s Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta.
Since many of you travel a lot, too, and might also be going to various business conferences and on family vacations now that Spring is getting closer, I’m starting off this week by sharing with you a new line of luxury carry on luggage, designed with the executive female traveller in mind, that was just introduced by the new Toronto, Canada based company, Ebby Rane. Toronto based interior designer, Lisa Ferguson Interior Design, who founded http://decormentor.com was talking about this company on Twitter and it prompted me to take a look – I’m glad I did.
Ebby Rane’s new QUARTERMASTER carry -on has an elegant profile { I hope Ebby Rane will say yes when I ask if the leather tag can be monogrammed with my initials, instead, or my own company’s name }
but, besides the elegant profile, it’s the patented packing system on the inside and the feminine detailing that caught my attention. Here’s the jewelry pouch and below this picture, a close up of it.
I love the color combinations, too. Here are all the pieces in the QUARTERMASTER’s patented packing system which come with each piece of Ebby Rane luxury luggage. Which one of these three color combinations is your favorite? I like the lighter one at the top of this post because there’s more contrast, making it easier to see where things are but..
these two color combination are elegant, too, and if I was buying it just for business, and was travelling with male business associates where I might have to open it in front of them for airport security, I’d choose one of these two color combinations – but what about you? Which color combination would you choose, readers?
I like the way she thought of everything female travellers need: a place for wet bathing suits, electrical cords, a vanity pouch and another, see through one, for those items we need to take out as we go through security {which we could keep in our smaller purses and then re-pack into our luggage once we pass through security } , a shoe bag so the dirt from our shoes doesn’t get on our clothes, and the camel colored leather envelope clutch you see here, neatly tucked away on top, that can double as an extra purse.
In luxury design, no matter whether it’s our homes or our luggage, details make the difference, but, no matter how beautiful and elegantly detailed a design is, for me, whether it’s furniture or luggage, it has to be functional first, and when I saw this picture on her site, I was convinced she understood what women needed to be able to pack in a carry on piece of luxury luggage, whether for business or family travel.
Thank you, Ebby Rane, for taking us from this…
to this. I think executive women business and pleasure travellers everywhere will appreciate the well thought out and organized details and I wish your new company much success. Readers, will you join me in helping Ebby Rane? Please LIKE their new Facebook Page at http://facebook.com/ebbyrane to spread the word. The QUARTERMASTER is not inexpensive at 1145.00, but I think this carry on is an investment in gracious, organized, business or family travel that will pay dividends for years to come.
And if you missed my post from last year, when I attended the Design Bloggers Conference for the first time, readers, and would like to know what I thought, please click here and to read some of my fellow blogger’s recap posts, too, please click here.
I will be sharing more travel tips for you this week on Hadley Court and I hope learning about Ebby Rane will help you, readers, whether you travel for business or pleasure, travel graciously and in style.
~~~~~~~ Have a blessed week ahead ~~~~~~
