Whether you’re craving a minimalist look or want to go all out with this trend, we’ve got several black and white bathroom ideas to inspire you.

One of the most risqué ideas in the design world is black walls, ceiling, flooring, and even doors. If done correctly, a room with black being the majority color can allow some incredible design and decor additions. Therefore, if done wrong, it can seem like an uninviting black hole. One of our favorite ways to make this concept work for black and white bathrooms? Adding just as much white to the bathroom to give a solid balance between the two colors. With this base, you can start to add pops of color through decor or fixtures such as piping, hardware, and linens.

If the majority of your bathroom is white or another lighter color, adding black through subtle accent pieces and hardware is a great way to keep things beautifully minimalistic! Our favorite part about keeping it simple is that you can add some pretty vibrant decor pieces throughout the rest of the bathroom. In other words, it’s an uncomplicated look and sometimes, less is more.

Leading off of our last point, black and white bathrooms are perfect for the true decorist! This base color scheme allows you to keep things simple with small gold accents, 2 – 3 plants, or subtle wooden wall hangings. It also allows you to throw in louder pieces such as colorful bouquets, statement wall art, or patterned linens.

If you’re wanting your bathroom to speak a little louder for itself, we recommend considering all of the maximalist decor ideas! Since this color scheme can require a true effort in balance, it’s important to find the best ways to do so. However, instead of relying on a simple black and white decor, think about including black in the large pieces. Painting your cabinetry the perfect shade of black will give the bathroom a bold and stylish feel.

In the End…

Black and white bathrooms can act as such a monumental space in your home. For instance, whether you love simplicity or deep and colorful dimensions, the black and white color scheme is yours to work with! Really, it’s a timeless look we adore.
