Simply classic. Simply timeless. Simply White – home decor paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore’s 2016 Color of the Year. While many within the interior design industry debate about the chosen color, calling it the absence of color, white is and has been a color used for centuries – in Egyptian papyrus paper, Greek columns in architecture, and painted moldings in Parisian & American interiors as well as in the popular farm-style trend: ghost white pumpkins for fall, and even the closet essential: the classic white shirt.
For November’s Fashion & Decor pairings, I chose the classic white shirt, to pair with interiors and interior details as inspiration for how you can bring shades of white into your own homes and wardrobes.
Classic White – Tailored & Sheer
Linen White – fresh & relaxed.
Scalloped White – Sculptural
Lady-like white – tight & tailored with ruffle details
Using shades of white to create a fresh look, combining both antique and modern elements, for home & decor.
As you can see:
White is delicate.
White is strong.
White is sculptural.
White is architectural.
White is classic.
White is timeless.
I hope, after reading this post, you are inspired to consider using Benjamin Moore’s Color Of The Year 2016 – Simply White – for your interiors! If you’d like to see more inspiration,
